SHOW RUNNER / TRICASTER XD850 OPERATOR

Web content production house is seeking show runners for live, interactive broadcasts out of our studio in the heart of Hollywood, California. You must work well under extreme pressure and be able to assure start times are met down to the second. In addition to pulling all of the details together, from talent, to camera, to audio and media, you will also be the operator of our 8 Channel HD-SDI video switcher during the broadcast. An extremely high aptitude for lightning fast troubleshooting is a must. References should be submitted in advance along with your application.

• Five years minimum experience in film, web, or television production.
• Two years minimum experience in a live broadcast environment.
• Experience using the NewTek TriCaster XD850 Video Switcher or equivalent system.
• Demonstrate a strong sense of shot composition, lighting technique and color correction.
• Familiarity with Adobe Flash Media Encoder, Final Cut Pro Studio and live streaming video sites such as YouTube, Justin.tv, Livestream.com and Stickam.com

GRAPHIC DESIGNER / PROMO EDITOR

Web content studio seeking in-house graphic designer / promo editor to augment the look of our productions and promotional videos. Your primary specialty is motion graphics, and graphic design. The ideal candidate is an expert in Final Cut Studio and Adobe CS4/5. Your reel/portfolio must demonstrate an understanding of current design themes and cutting techniques. You are being brought on to take shows with existing followings and amazing content to the next level of polish. There are multiple projects both in production and development at any time, so you must demonstrate the ability to design in a variety of styles that are appropriate to each specific project. Having great taste in music is extremely important. The ability to generate your own beats/tracks in a fix is a huge plus.

- Assemble network quality promotional clips.
- Create show “packages” for new series including openings, credits & lower thirds.
- Output images based on established packages for our website or other promotional uses.
- Encode and upload to FTP for approval.
- Format for broadcast video switcher upon approval.
- Encode and upload to web upon approval.
- Assist in formatting/editing content for upcoming productions.

WEB DEVELOPER / CONTENT MANAGER

Web content production house is seeking a PHP/mySQL guru that also demonstrates amazing graphic design and layout ability. You will be taking an existing video distribution website to the next level. We’re looking for someone that can not only create custom PHP code for our needs, but also work with our existing WordPress front-end so our producers and content editors can continue to work with an interface they are familiar with. The website focuses on video content. When applying, please demonstrate your familiarity with other video content websites. You should be able to show a wide array of experience with the web, software and technology in general.

On-going responsibilities include:

- Augmenting website to keep up with the changing needs of the end viewer.
- Creation and design of additional channels as new series are added.
- Maintaining proper outreach integration via RSS to content aggregators.
- Updating the homepage, schedule and show info pages on a daily basis.
- Creation of “sub” sites for individual shows or side projects.
- Uploading of encoded media to our website, YouTube and other destinations.

The ideal candidate has a friendly demeanor, ability to work with others and is also willing and able to assist with light technical support issues related to the network or individual computers around the office. If you have to cry for help if a strange window pops up, then you may not be the right person for the job.
