Matthew Vaughn Picks Up GHOSTGIRL – AMC Movie News

Matthew Vaughn, director of such films as Stardust, Kick-Ass and X-Men: First Class, has just acquired the film rights to the novel series GHOSTGIRL. An unpopular and practically invisible high school girl finds herself dead after choking on a gummy bear and now is literally invisible to those around her. The novel is described as follows: “If you thought high school was a matter of life or death, wait till you see just how true that is. In this satirical, yet heartfelt novel, Hurley explores the invisibility we all feel at some times and the lengths we’ll go to be seen.”
