John Lee Hancock Plans McDonald’s Film THE FOUNDER – AMC Movie News
Has everyone had their Happy Meal today? A new report out of The Hollywood Reporter reveals that SAVING MR. BANKS director, John Lee Hancock, will next direct THE FOUNDER, a movie looking at the origins of the world’s most dominant fast food chain… McDonald’s. The script is said to be a cross between THE SOCIAL NETWORK and THERE WILL BE BLOOD. Apparently Tom Hanks was approached for the lead role and turned it down, but that was before Hancock was attached to direct. BIRDMAN’s Michael Keaton is also said to be up for the lead role.
